Reed magnetosensitive sensors are designed to monitor the position of moving parts of equipment by non-contact detection of a magnetic field. They are used as limit switches to determine whether the valve is open or closed, whether the part is clamped, whether the piston rod of the pneumatic cylinder is extended, etc. The main function is to convert the effect of a magnetic field into an electrical signal to control the actuators.
